Vitex has established a manufacturing site for plastic barrier film within the Techni-Met facility in Windsor, Conn. Techni-Met has an existing business in plastic thin-film coating and will participate in the manufacture of Vitex products. Vitex also has an agreement with Tokki, a leading manufacturer of production equipment for OLED displays in Japan, to develop equipment and processes for in-line deposition of the Vitex encapsulation process.
