VITEX SYSTEMS’ LICENSEE, ANS, SECURES ORDER FOR GUARDIAN™ THIN-FILM ENCAPSULATION SYSTEM FROM MAJOR JAPANESE COMPANY
Signals Continued Adoption of Thin-film Encapsulation within OLED Industry
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 22, 2007 – Vitex Systems, Inc. a leading technology developer, licensor and engineering service provider for thin-film encapsulation and moisture barrier films, today announced that its equipment licensee, Advanced Neotech Systems (ANS) of Korea, has secured a purchase order for its Guardian™ thin-film encapsulation system from a major Japanese customer.
“We are very glad to have successfully entered into the Japanese market—as this marks another major milestone for ANS after our recent successes in both Korea and Europe,” said BK Chun, general manager of sales for ANS. “We’re pleased to see the thin-film encapsulation market finally take off after years of research and development. We recently established a branch office in Dresden, Germany a few months ago, and will continue to invest and work closely with our customers to ensure their success.”
Commenting on its successes, Chyi-Shan Suen, director of sales and marketing for Vitex, said, “ANS delivered the first Guardian™ thin-film encapsulation system to Samsung SDI in 2005. ANS again successfully delivered the Guardian™ system to MicroEmissive Displays (MED) for their production line. We are pleased with this latest victory, which is a signal that thin-film encapsulation continues to gain broader adoption within the OLED industry.”
About ANS ANS Inc., headquartered in Pyungtaek, Korea, is a leading supplier of OLED deposition and encapsulation mass production systems. Founded in 1998, ANS delivers high quality OLED mass production machines by virtue of its core competence in areas such as efficient deposition sources, reliable shadow mask alignment, and fully automated software control systems. ANS is developing new deposition sources to achieve even better film uniformity and greater material utilization for large-size glass substrates. The deposition direction can be in any orientation in the process chamber, therefore resolving the glass and mask bending issue. For more information on ANS, visit www.ansinc.co.kr
